OUR TRADING BUSINESS
We chiefly trade in ores & concentrates, primary metals, alloys, chemicals and scraps. Our raw materials are sourced from leading smelters around the world and end products are distributed throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Additionally, we source and supply tailor made engineering machinery all over Middle East.
TYPES
Ferrous
- Mild Steel : Carbon content of 0.1 to 0.3% and Iron content of 99.7 – 99.9%. Used mainly for engineering purposes and specialised metal products.
- Carbon Steel : Carbon content of 0.6 to 1.4% and Iron content of 98.6 to 99.4 %. Used to make cutting tools, such as drill bits.
- Stainless Steel : Made up of Iron, nickel and chromium. Resists staining and corrosion and is therefore used for the likes of cutlery and surgical instrumentation
- Cast Iron : Carbon 2 – 6% and Iron at 94 to 98%. Strong , yet brittle, it’s used to manufacture items like engine blocks and manhole covers.
- Wrought Iron : Composed of almost 100% iron. Used to make items such as ornamental gates and fencing. Has fallen out of use somewhat.
Non Ferrous
- Bauxite for blast furnaces
- Wolframite, Pyrolusite and Chromite for ferrous alloys.
- Aluminium, Copper, Lead, Nickel, Tin, Titanium and Zinc along with alloys like brass.
- Precious ones like Gold, Silver and Platinum
- Exotic or rare metals that include Cobalt, Mercury, Tungsten, Beryllium, Bismuth, Cerium, Cadmium, Niobium, Indium, Gallium, Germanium, Lithium, Selenium, Tantalum, Tellurium, Vanadium, and Zirconium obtained via minerals like Sulphides, Carbonates, And Silicates.
- Non-ferrous metals are mostly refined through electrolysis.
Scrap
Majority of our scrap is sourced from a host of national and international yards from across Continental USA, Puerto Rico, Central America, South America and Caribbean islands. While predominant metals are mostly sold and send over to domestic mills , the rest is exported to overseas to large scale metal processing countries like Turkey, Korea, Thailand, India, China, Taiwan and Vietnam.
